I also feel great about this New Year's resolution and believe you me it may be the only thing keeping me going. It appears I'm much better at adding things to this list than removing/doing them.

I just purchased the droid (which I believe makes me cool). Not cool...I somehow "deleted" my contacts. When people call - I see them, but I can't find them in my phone. So, I didn't have Brittany's number memorized nor could I find it in my phone...UNTIL NOW! My intern had to show me how to use my phone (which I believe makes me uncool).

resolution number 1 - find old friends...try to be kind to them (this is harder for kurt than most...)

so our first resolution is to try to find old friends and bring them back into the fold - ie facebook stalk them, say hello, apologze for all the mean things we might have done/for letting so much time go by without saying hi/for thinking they were not quite cool enough in college to chat with when checking your mail in the student center (when actually it was certainly kurt and i who were not the cool enough ones!)/etc, and then try to find out all the really cool things going on in said-old-friends current life... sounds fun, huh?!

so kurt has chosen a FANTASTIC woman from our past for his very first FridayFriend - she was quite possibly the funniest student we ever worked with at Ohio State, and had the capacity to eat chipotle that rivaled the men atempting to break the Worlds Strongest Men records...we LOVED her - kurt, how did your contact go?! tell us all about it - i miss her like crazy!

and i have chosen my very first camp-crush... if you were ever a sleep-away-camp-counselor, you TOTALLY understand the power of the camp crush... i mean, when you live with people 24 hours a day, and you spend all your daylight-hours entertaining 8 year olds, your night time with other 'adults' becomes sacred time. so, like the intensity of my love for the campchickenfingers, my love for campcrushcarl was out of control... and i'm pretty sure he knew it. awkward. but i have decided that 13 years later is just about the right amount of time to try to rebuild a friendship no longer based on my love of his tevas or his ability to throw me into the pool...god bless the 15-year-old-flirting...how times were just so much simpler then...

i'll let you know how it goes. i'm going to be crushed (oh the pun!!) if he does not reciprocate my desire to reconnect... but alas - i guess thats the point of FridayFriends - gotta put yourself out there and risk hurt and embarassment if you want to find that old-friend-diamond-in-the-rough... kurt - fill us in on how yours went too - cant wait!

A New Year, A New You...I Mean Us

So it's a crazy adventure of two old roommates doing what most folks don't - upholding a New Year's resolution. We have a lot: from body goals (topless pictures coming soon!) to canning. This is NOT a bucket list. REPEAT NOT A BUCKET LIST.

For those friends who know us dearly know that Collier and I share a common tie - we rarely finish things we start. There's a map in the basement I've been meaning to hang for 4 years. Collier has been writing a book longer than Brian on Family Guy. Well this is it - our New Year's resolution is to do things that we say we're going to do.

So grab a cup of coffee and get pumped. This year is going to be new, exciting, and accomplished! Also, it's a year, so feel free to get new cups of coffee.
